R.I.V.E.R

We are a UC Davis undergraduate student-run preventative health advocacy group. Our goal is to recruit dietary health professionals to serve the uninsured population of the greater Sacramento area. Currently, we are conducting a survey to help show that there is a need for dietary care in socioeconomically underserved communities. After collecting a substantial number of surveys (~1000), we will be presenting the results of these surveys, kept completely anonymous, to various UC Davis health professionals. As the acronym implies, R.I.V.E.R.’s mission, as a public health advocacy group, is to provide the professional health education necessary to help underserved community members lead affordable healthy lifestyles.
